The company’s objective is to develop the YTR process for true recycling of composite materials. Existing recycling attempts focus on removing the matrix by chemical and/or thermal processes such as pyrolysis. But this approach has two drawbacks:

• These processes are energy intensive and;
• They degrade the characteristics of the material, we speak rather of revalorization.

The patented YTR process developed by Silver Weave overcomes these drawbacks by treating the composite without separating the matrix from the fiber. It allows the formation of new fibers that are woven to be used in the manufacture of new parts.
